About Us

It is our belief that you get one opportunity to insulate a structure and that it must be done correctly.  Whitson Insulation Company of Grand Rapids was founded in 1978 with our main goal to provide our customers with the highest quality service and products at a fair and competitive cost.  Since our founding we have grown to be one of the largest insulation contractors in the West Michigan area.  Residential insulation continues to be the largest portion of the work we do.  However, we also handle office buildings, schools, apartment complexes and numerous other projects.

We use quality fiberglass insulation products manufactured by CertainTeed, Johns Manville, and Knauf as well as spray foam insulation manufactured by Icynene.  We also provide removal services for existing insulation, and custom closet shelving solutions using Schulte Distinctive Storage products.

Unlike some insulation contractors, we install what we say we are going to install when we say we are going to install it.  We understand that if we do not show up when requested it costs you money.  We inspect our jobs at completion to ensure that everything is done properly, and to correct anything that is wrong before it becomes a problem.
